Somehow, ‘thank you’ just isn’t enough
As a mode of appreciation
For the outpouring of love which results in violent catastrophe
That shatters hell, disintegrates death,
Dissolves the force of evil
And turns the world upside down
Changing everything.

So what can I say?
Not a word so much
As a turning of the heart
An opening of the eye
A retuning of the ear
A willingness to engage.

Here I am.
Let the thanks reside in me
And spill over
River-flowing into the dry places
Though without much confidence
In self as well,
What else can I offer?
